Prayer of the Week
Faithful God, your Holy One, Jesus of Nazareth, spoke the truth with authority, and you confirmed his teaching by wondrous deeds.  Through his healing presence, drive far from us all that is unholy, so that by work and deed we may proclaim him Messiah and Lord, and bear witness to your power to heal and save.  We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:

Volunteer required for safeguarding co-ordinator
The PCC has a responsibility to ensure that children and vulnerable adults are well cared for during church activities. The safeguarding co-ordinator ensures that adults involved in these activities have had the appropriate checks carried out. It is primarily an administrative role that takes on average about two hours each month. If you are intersted in finding out more please speak to Anne White (346536) or James (275944).

Churchwarden, PCC and Deanery Synod vacancies
After an invaluable four year stint as churchwarden Charlie Fairall is stepping down at the Annual Meeting on March 19th. We therefore need to find a suitable person to be the second churchwarden. The primary role of churchwardens is to be able to attend most of the 10 am services on a Sunday morning and at major festivals, and to have a concern for the church, its people and its buildings. Charlie is very willing to carry on helping out with practical and maintenance issues such as the church boiler and the lawnmowers so this will lighten the load. There are also vacancies to fill on the Parochial Church Council (PCC) that meets 8/9 times a year on a Monday evening. The PCC is the forum through which key decisions are taken regarding vision, the undertaking of repairs and improvements to church buildings, church finances etc. There is also a vacancy for the Deanery Synod which acts as a link between the local church and Diocese.  If you are intersted in filling any of these roles please speak with James.
