We hope you will appreciate worshipping here with us. Please take away our welcome leaflet for all of our services and activities on the table. Please make use of the children’s corner in church with books, colouring sheets, toys etc. The 10 o’clock club for babies, toddlers and children meet in the church hall where coffee, squash etc. is served after the 10 am service.
The Church is open daily from at least 9.30-4.00pm.

First Sunday of Lent
As we move into Lent we hear the story of Jesus’ temptation and how he refused to put God to the test. So in our worship we’ll be thinking about how we put God and one another to the test, and asking for God’s guidance in letting go of deep ingrained patterns of behaviour.
Readings: Genesis 2.15-17; 3.1-7, Matthew 4.1-11.

Prayer of the week:
Lord our God, in every age you call a people to hear your word and to do your will, renew us in these Lenten days: washed clean of sin, sealed with the Spirit, and sustained by your living bread, may we remain true to our calling and, with the elect, serve you alone. Grant this through Christ, our liberator from sin , who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, holy and mighty God forever and ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the life of St Dunstan’s over many centuries: for its worship, its ministry and its mission within and to the local community.
We thank you for the privilege of being members of the Church today.
During this Vacancy, strengthen us with your Holy Spirit, that our worship may be more worthy, our witness more effective, our lives more holy,
and renew our enthusiasm to share all that you call us to be and do for the honour of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Women’s) World Day of Prayer March 6th 10.00am
This service in St Mary’s Church (PR) is prepared this year by the women of Zimbabwe. We need two or three volunteers from St D's to read a short piece during the service. Please contact Rosemary if you can help. (344417).
St Dunstan's Ultimate Charity Quiz Sat 7th March
Join us for a quiz night to support the charities Lindengate, supporting people recovering from mental illnesses and Child Bereavement UK. Monks Risborough School Hall. 7.30pm. £5 per person. Annual revision of the Electoral Roll- closes 6th April

Christian Aid at St Dunstan’s 15th and 28th March
At the 10am Parish Communion Service, Philip Evans is coming to talk about the work of Christian Aid and will stay on afterwards if people want to chat to him. Charity information will be at the back of the church. We will be having a collection to support their work and hope you will consider donating. Then on March 28th join us for a Christian Aid Big Brekkie, at 9.15am in the church hall. Egg/bacon/sausage /veggie baps with juice and tea or coffee. Suggested donation £5. The London Marathon
My brother, who has fairly recently taken up running, is doing this for Blind Veterans UK, a charity which helped my father a lot. He has to raise £2000 to take part. St Dunstan’s Lent Course 2020 – SUPERSTAR
Thank you to those of you who have signed up for your choice of this Lent Course. The 5 weekly sessions start on Wed 4th March, 10.30-12.00 at 76 Westmead.
The one-off day on Saturday 7th March 10-4 is in the church hall. Course booklets, drinks and biscuits provided but please bring your own lunch. Jill Iredale 01844 346488 .
