Prayer for the week
God and judge of all, you show us that the way to your kingdom is through humility and service.
Keep us true to the path of justice and give us the reward promised to those who make a place for the rejected and the poor.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
 All aid workers in Pakistan; that they will be kept safe from Taliban attacks.
 For the 33 miners trapped underground in Chile and those working to rescue them
 The safety of adventure holidays and for the proper skills of those employed to lead them.
 Monks Risborough CE Combined School, its pupils, staff, head and governors.
 Those living in St John’s Court (Princes Risborough) and Cottage Farm Waye (Speen).
 Those in need who are known in our parish:
◦ Joan Ballance, Trevor Calvert, Joan Pitcher, Enid Menzies, Molly Whyte, Marjorie Browne, Jean Taylor, Shelagh Bartlett,
 and also further afield for:
◦ Gordon Haynes, Christine
 For the recently departed
◦ Ted Light, Terence Badrick
 Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time particularly Elsie Pearce and Lilian Braisher.

Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
The Church Housing Trust, dedicated to the rehabilitation and resettlement of homeless people of all ages and backgrounds.

St Dunstan's Fete - September 18th 2-4pm - The Old Rectory
We shall need a lot of helpers to make this special event in the calendar a success. If you are able to spend some time setting up / packing away, collecting tables/bouncy castle, looking after a stall, making cakes / scones, serving refreshments... please sign the notice in the porch or let Rosemary know - 344417. And please invite all your friends and relations along!

Newsletter
As you will have noticed the final copy date for the next issue is the earlier date of September 3rd.
After some 16 years Peter Haigh is giving up the production side of the Newsletter and we are very fortunate in that John McKay has volunteered to replace him. John is producing the October/November issue.
We hope to have an opportunity of thanking Peter for his sterling work in the very near future, but in the meantime we would ask contributors to assist John by getting copy to him in good time.
