Prayer of the week
Your creation, O God, runs its appointed course, as from the ends of the earth you gather a people you call your own. Confirm us in strength of your abiding word. Steady our hearts in the time of trial, so that on the day of the Son of Man we may without fear rejoice to behold his appearing. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

Your prayers are asked this week for:

  • The peace of the world, those who have died and continue to suffer as a result of wars and conflict
  • The victims of the Russian airliner that crashed in Egypt
  • Those of other faiths and beliefs than our own and that we may seek to find a common cause as we seek to live by the Golden Rule
  • Those who run small companies and the burden placed on them to care for their staff
  • The Royal British Legion and those serving at the RAF base at Walters Ash
  • The mission, ministry and congregational life of The Baptist Chapel in Speen
  • 8th: Greenwood and Grimms Meadow (Walters Ash) Hambye Close & Hets Orchard (LG) 15th: Wheelwright Road (L) Perry Lane (B)
  • Those who are in need in our parish:
  • And also further afield for:
    • Joan Male, Bill Male, Alastair, Uncle Frank, Anne Clark, Katy, Georgina Cole, Robert, baby Molly
  • The recently departed:
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time:
    • (8th) Pam Gordon, Harold Tapping (15th) Hilda Sandell, John Baverstock
Please remember the charities that the parish supports:
