Owing to popular demand there will be a second pilgrim tour of St. Albans Abbey on Wednesday September 28th. Leaving by coach from the lay-by off the A4010 in Monks Risborough at 5.30 pm, the evening starts with a sandwich and cake buffet in the Abbot’s kitchen at 7 pm. This is followed by a Pilgrimage Prayer Trail around the Cathedral, Compline by candlelight in the Quire, before concluding with a silent procession to the Shrine of Saint Alban. We will return to the lay-by in Monks Risborough at about 10.15pm. The cost for the St. Albans trip is £17.50. The trip to Ely cathedral on August 10th is now fully booked and I am starting a reserve list.

Children’s Corner
Following conversations with some children and a generous donation from the lunch club we are looking to enhance the north-west corner of the church with some furniture, cushions, mat etc. to make it more appealing to young people.

Confirmation
Confirmation is often seen as the entry point to receive Holy Communion as a person ‘confirms’ the promises made on their behalf at their Baptism. Whatever age you are if you’re interested in taking this step in your Christian journey please speak with James as it’s likely that there will be an opportunity to attend a confirmation service in the area in September.
