When a mother looks at her new-born child, all her petty preoccupations dissolve in love. Whether we are parents or not, this Mothering Sunday we are asking God to teach us that raw, pure quality of love.

God of love, passionate and strong, tender and careful:

Super Soup lunch, Friday March 16th
In support of Christian Aid this will take place in the church hall from 12.15-1.45 pm. Homemade soup, crusty bread and a hot drink £4.50. If you are able to make a soup for our Christian Aid Lunch on March 16th or if you would prefer to help with serving it /washing up, please let me know. Sunday March 18th – Church Photograph
After the 10 am service can you stay for a few minutes so that a photograph of the whole congregation can be taken to update the website and to use for grant applications. Thank you. James


Annual Church Meetings: Monday March 19th
These will take place on in St. Dunstan’s. Drinks will be served from 7.30pm and the meeting will start at 8pm. Please can you make every effort to attend. Paper copies of the agenda and annual report are available from the table by the south door and in St. Peter’s Chapel, Owlswick. Walk of Witness
As per last year we’ll leave the A4010 lay-by at 10.30 with a simple wooden cross and make our way via The Avenue (10.45 approx.) and Berryfield Road (10.55 approx.) to meet outside the Elim Church in Bell Street, Princes Risborough for a short service of worship at 11.15am. You are very welcome to join all or part of the walk or make your way straight to the time of worship. James

Easter Lilies in Memory of a Loved One
Once again there is the opportunity for parishioners to donate the cost of an Easter lily as part of an arrangement in memory of a loved one. If you would like to take part, please write your name and IN BLOCK CAPIATLS the person(s) whom you wish to remember, on the list in the Church or contact Jenny Masterton-Smith on 01844 273538 or Gwen Miles on 01844 345230. To make your donation, please put your contribution into a blue gift aid envelope and write “Easter Lily” on it (with your name & address on, if you are a taxpayer). Please put the envelope into the wooden chest on the pillar or hand it to Anne White/James Tomkins

Defibrillator Training Course, April 4th
If you are interested in attending this course please speak to James. Details can be found in the church porch. The course will run from 7-8.30 pm in the church hall.

Visit to the National Gallery – April 14th
Susanne Carr, a leading art historian and author of several books is again leading a group around the National Gallery (nearest tube station is Charing Cross) on an hour long tour. Numbers are limited to 15 places. Lighthouse Quiz – Saturday 21st April 2018
St Mary’s Church, Princes Risborough, prompt 7:30 pm start, cost £5, bring your own drinks and nibbles (no red wine as it can stain the flooring), Raffle and Heads and Tails Game, offers of Raffle Prizes greatly appreciated, tables of eight, to book a table contact Jamie Carter on 01844 273286, booking essential.

More grass cutters required for the churchyard
The time commitment is about two to three hours each fortnight during the growing season. If you would like to find out more about what’s involved please speak with James.

Monday Bible Club – Monks Risborough School
Since November a small team of people have been running a lunchtime ‘Bible’ club (12.40 to 1.10pm) at Monks Risborough School for children aged 5 to 7. It is great fun with little or no preparation time required. If you are interested in helping out please speak with either James (275944)
