Brand New Church Electoral Roll
Every six years the church electoral roll is completely revised. The electoral roll seeks to reflect church membership as closely as possible and provides a general barometer of the vibrancy of the worshipping community. Forms will be available and given out on Sunday February 3rd and need to be completed and returned by March 31st to the electoral roll officer Mrs Susanne Dodds, 34 Summerleys Road, Princes Risborough, HP27 9DT (01844 342746) or a scanned version including signature by email to susanned@onetel.com or please pass it to James or one of the churchwardens. If you do not receive a form please accept my apologies and complete and return a form that will be readily available in St. Dunstan’s and also in St. Peter’s Chapel, Owlswick. Thank you. Susanne Dodds.

‘Pop Up’ Cinema: Incredibles 2 (PG)
On Saturday February 16th at 5.30 pm the Superheroes are back for another exciting and fun packed adventure to thwart a new dangerous villain. Bring your own snacks/drinks. Tickets on the door: adults £4 and accompanied children £1. For more information please contact Johanna Powell (01844 343996)

The Ultimate Charity Quiz
This will be held on Saturday March 9th at Monks Risborough School Hall starting at 7.30pm. Teams of 6-8 people with a cost of £5/person will be able to pit their wits and in doing so help raise funds for three local charities: Rennie Grove Hospice Care, PACE and The Princes Centre. Bring your own drinks and nibbles; raffle and heads & tails. Teams can be entered by contacting Johanna Powell on 01844 343996 or johanna@powellathome.com

You are invited to the 2019 Parish Lent Course: Daring to see God now
Using the excellent material provided by the ‘York Courses’, these sessions raise important questions about change, repentance and how we can become in ourselves living evidence of the good news. Full details can be found in your copy of the church newsletter (available from the table by the south door). The course includes a booklet which needs to be ordered, so please let the coordinator of the group know by February 28th if you would like to come. If you are coming to the Saturday session please bring a packed lunch with you (drinks will be provided). James, Rob, Rose and Jill

Confirmation Classes

A Confirmation Service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Aylesbury on the evening of Easter Eve, Saturday April 20th. If you (or your son/daughter) would like to consider being confirmed please contact James. Confirmation is traditionally seen as the entry point to receive Holy Communion as a person ‘confirms’ the promises made on their behalf at their Baptism. Preparation sessions will take place on Saturday April 6th and April 13th from 10am to 12 noon. James

Monks Monkeys 10th Anniversary Party: help required
On March 23rd (2.30-4.30) everyone aged 0-12 (accompanied by an adult) is invited to a children’s party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Monks Monkeys, the church’s toddler group. There will be a treasure hunt, a children’s entertainer and games. If you are happy to be an extra pair of hands on the day I would be delighted to hear from you. Anne White (346536) is making multiple ‘pass the parcels’. If you have any spare unused gift wrapping paper please can you let her know. James

PCC vacancies
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) meets 8/9 times a year on a Monday evening. The PCC is the forum through which key decisions are taken regarding vision, repairs and improvements to church buildings, church finances etc. If you are interested in becoming a member of the council please speak with James.

Fabric Update
We hope you are pleased with the redecoration of the church. It certainly shows how much the church is loved and cared for and helps to bring out its architectural features. The church has also been thoroughly cleaned and we are working to improve the loop system. The next set of works begins on or around February 18th with external repairs to the stonework expected to last about 2 weeks, followed in due course by the internal and external cleaning of all the windows and finally the conservation of the pulpit in late summer. The decorative tin arch at St. Peter’s is due to be conserved in a few weeks’ time. James
