We behold your glory, O God, in the love shown by your Son, lifted up on the cross and exalted on high. Increase our love that both in the name and in truth we may be disciples of the risen Lord Jesus, and so reflect by our lives the glory that is yours. Grant this through Jesus Christ, the first-born from the dead, who lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Congregational Mailing

Stewardship letters are being given out on Sunday May 26th to assist in reviewing what we give to the church and to God. Hopefully we’ve managed to include everybody but I’m sure that we will have accidentally omitted a few people. If we have, please accept our apologies, collect an unnamed pack and advise us of your name and address. James and the stewardship team

St Augustine of Canterbury Feast Day Talk

Pilgrim Course on Holy Communion
A six session course that covers why Holy Communion is celebrated as a memorial of Christ’s saving passion and stands at the very heart of worship continues on May 29th at 7.30pm at the Rectory as part of the ‘Open House’ group that meets about once a month. You do not need to attend every session. All welcome. James

Additional person(s) required to cut the churchyard
A section of grass in the churchyard has become available to cut. It takes approximately 2 hours to do this every two weeks. If you are able to help please let James know.

Thank you, James

Draft plans for extra toilets
Please pick up a copy of the draft plans to build two extra toilets at the back of the church hall. This will facilitate a more comfortable experience for those visiting St. Dunstan’s for large services and events when only one toilet is available! Please pass on any comments to James.

Would you like a lift to church?
At St. Dunstan’s and St. Peter’s we’re aware that not everyone can drive or walk to church. If there is a service, event, concert, group of other meeting that you would like to attend but require a lift please contact Cathy Farquhar 01844 343226 as far in advance as possible

Cheerful cleaners required
A small group of volunteers is being formed to help clean the church on an occasional basis. This is not a regular commitment but draws on a group of people who are happy to spend an hour or so once in a while hoovering, dusting, sweeping etc. the church to keep it clean for visitors and church services. Without any obligation please contact Margaret Hunnibell (274366) for further information or to volunteer

Did you know?
At last year’s annual meeting a number of questions were asked about the Christian Faith/Anglican Church. These included why different colours were used for the altar cloths throughout the year, the Reformation, other faiths and what is a gradual hymn. I came across a very useful website http://www.stmarysrickmansworth.org.uk/4_we_believe/did_you_know.html that contained the answers/further information about these questions as well as a whole host of other information. Please do log onto this website to find out more and if you do not have access to the internet please do write down your question and pass it to me instead. James
