Prayer of the week:

God of life, in your risen Son you reveal your abiding presence among us and summon those reborn in baptism to lives of worship and service. Fill this assembly with reverence as we come before you in prayer. Grant us courage and zeal in bearing witness before the world to your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, holy and mighty God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Your prayers are asked this week for:

  • A peaceful end to the fighting in Syria and the political crisis in Venezuela
  • Those affected by the latest cyclone to strike parts of Southern Africa and the east Indian coast

Would you like a lift to church?
At St. Dunstan’s and St. Peter’s we’re aware that not everyone can drive or walk to church. If there is a service, event, concert, group of other meeting that you would like to attend but require a lift please contact Cathy Farquhar 01844 343226 as far in advance as possible

Safeguarding – Online Course

The Church of England is encouraging everyone to become more aware of the potential risks and harm to young people and vulnerable adults. Everyone is invited to log onto a short basic awareness course (C0). This will help improve the understanding of abuse and help to build a culture of informed vigilance within the Church. The course is very straightforward to access, and should take no more than an hour to complete. It doesn’t have to be completed in one go but can be done in stages if preferred. If you would like to access the course please log onto https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/ or contact the parish safeguarding officer, Angeline Vere, 343006 or angeline.vere@btinternet.com
