Prayer of the week:
Who are we, Lord God, that you should come to us? Yet you have visited your people and redeemed us in your Son. Prayer of the week:
Loving God, guardian of our homes, when you entrusted your Son to the care of Mary and Joseph you did not spare them the pains that touch the life of every family. Teach us to rely on your word, that in our trials as in our joys we may be clothed in gentleness and patience and united in love. Make us ever thankful for the blessing you give us through Jesus Christ, your Word made flesh, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, in the splendour of eternal light, God for ever and ever. Amen.

2nd Monks Risborough Rainbow Unit NEW
Wanted! Fun individuals, good with children, willing to spare an hour and half on a Friday afternoon, 4.15-5.45pm, to help a new Rainbow unit, affiliated with our church. speak to Debbie Norie 07982 247715.

Confirmation ‘Classes’
A number of people have recently expressed an interest in being confirmed in the Church of England. If you (or your son/daughter) would like to consider this please contact the parish office on parishoffice@stmarysrisborough.org.uk. The ‘classes’ usually involve a couple of sessions lasting approximately two hours each. 


Candlelight Concert: Saturday 4th January at 7pm
The Chandos Ensemble return for an evening of music by Vivaldi, Handel and Corelli. Volunteers needed to sit in on the odd 10 O'Clock Club session
We have about 8 sessions in 2020 when we need an extra adult to sit in the with the leaders as an observer, to meet our safeguarding obligations.  You will not be required to do anything other than be an extra body in the hall.  Whilst I do not have the exact dates yet, if you are interested please get in touch.  Cathy 343226  cathy.farquhar@btinternet.com
