Prayer for the week
Sovereign God, ruler of our hearts, you call us to obedience and sustain us in freedom.
Keep us true to the way of your Son, that we may leave behind all that hinders us and, with eyes fixed on him, walk surely in the path of the kingdom.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
 Real and lasting peace in Afghanistan following further loss of life this week
 The work of the Whitechapel Mission and the homeless people whom it seeks to serve
 The role of central government in the encouragement of business and new employment.
 Osteopaths, chiropractors, and those involved in complementary therapies.
 Those living in Wellington Avenue and Well Lane (Princes Risborough) and Small dean Lane (Saunderton).
 Those in need who are known in our parish
 and also further afield
 The recently departed
 Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time

Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
Risborough Cares Charity, assisting those in the locality who have mental health, learning or physical disabilities or who are elderly.

Receiving the wine at Holy Communion
I realise that this is a sensitive subject but Bishop John has asked that the practice of communicants intincting (dipping the wafer into the wine) for themselves is discouraged. If you still want to receive an intincted wafer, please ask the celebrant to do this for you. Thank you. James

Open Garden for NGS
Pamela and Edwin Rye are once again opening their garden for the National Garden Scheme. We are open on July 3rd & 4th from 2 to 6 pm. Do come and enjoy the roses and delphiniums in our peaceful and colourful oasis in Wendover. Our address is: 11 The Paddocks, Wendover HP22 6HE. We look forward to seeing you.

Please take home the July/August issue of The Door

Faith communities invest more than 8.5m in employees and give 12,500 hours each month as volunteers. Essex man heads home - The Door looks at Bishop Stephen's service to the diocese. A Korean commissary - Luke Lee tells Jo Duckles about his journey from being a refugee aged eight to becoming a leader of a rapidly growing Anglican Church in South Korea.
