Prayer for the week
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, you gave us your Son, the beloved one who was rejected, the Saviour who appeared defeated. Yet the mystery of his kingship illumines our lives.
Show us in his death the victory that crowns the ages, and in his broken body the love that unites heaven and earth.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
 those affected by the explosion of the mine in New Zealand and by the flooding in Cornwall
 Those elected to serve on the Church of England’s General Synod meeting this week
 the work of NATO and its peace keeping forces
 all who face hardship and the loss of their work or income as a result of economic cuts
 those who run pension schemes, and for the support that they give to those who wish to retire from full time work.
 Wycombe District Council, its officers and councillors.
 Those living in Princes Place (Princes Risborough) and Woodview Drive (Speen).
 Those in need who are known in our parish
 and also further afield
 For the recently departed
 Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time
Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
Cruse Bereavement Care, supporting bereaved people and enabling anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. The organisation provides support and offers information, advice, education and training services.
