Sunday 7th November 2010
4th Sunday before Advent

Today we learn of God’s incredible grace towards someone people dismissed as a hopeless sinner. It is true, too, that God does not deal with any of us as our sins deserve. So let us worship our heavenly Father, for he is merciful.
Welcome to St Dunstan’s Church

If you are new to Monks Risborough or just visiting please introduce yourself to the Welcomers at the door who will be happy to tell you more about the church and its events.
Coffee and tea are served in the Church immediately after the 10.00am service - all are welcome.

Prayer for the week
God of glory,
touch our lips with the fire of your Spirit,
that we with all creation
may rejoice to sing your praise;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
 The people of Haiti, especially those still living in refugee camps following the earthquake, as they face the threats of storms and disease: for all those affected by the eruption of the volcano of Mount Merapi in Indonesia
 Christians in Iraq facing attack and persecution
 the Council for Race Equality, that racism in all its forms may be opposed.
 Princes Risborough Music Society, Shoestring Productions, Lacey Green Singers and Lacey Green Players.
 Those living in Milton Gardens (Princes Risborough) and Church Lane (Lacey Green).
 Those in need who are known in our parish
 and also further afield
 For the recently departed
 Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time
Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
Christian Blind Mission, an international Christian development organisation committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world.

Plea for help
After about 25 years - yes really! - Harry and Diana Mullens have decided to give up arranging for the distribution of the Newsletter from the beginning of 2011 and we are looking for a volunteer to take over this important church function. The work entails preparing the copies into bundles for the individual distributors, taking most of the bundles into church for church members to collect and distribute, and the remainder to local distributors who may not attend church. This operation occurs six times a year.
Please would anyone willing to consider taking on this work to contact David Kemp at Windleshaw, telephone 01844-344097 or email david@windleshaw.demon.co.uk. Thank you.

Hody's Charity

Father Abraham had many sons
Many sons had Father Abraham
I´m one of them, and so are you
So let´s all praise the Lord—Right arm!

Father Abraham...
So let´s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm!

Father Abraham...
So let´s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm, right foot!

Father Abraham...
So let’s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm, right foot. Left foot!

Father Abraham...
So let’s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm,
Right foot, left foot, nod your head!

Father Abraham...
So let´s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm,
Right foot, left foot, nod your head, turn around!

Father Abraham...
So let´s all praise the Lord—Right arm, left arm,
Right foot, left foot, nod your head, turn around
Sit down!
