Prayer for the week

God of the nations, to your table all are invited and in your family no one is a stranger. Satisfy the hunger of those gathered in this house of prayer and mercifully extend to all the peoples on earth the joy of salvation and faith. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
• all whose homes, businesses and property have been destroyed by the riots this week
• the police, political and community leaders
• Those who have been rioting that they may find purpose and direction in their lives
• Students awaiting exam results and for all who are on holiday
• Those who continue to suffer from famine
• The workforce of hotels and those on low wages that they may be properly cared for by employers.
• Princes Risborough, Saunderton and Whiteleaf Golf Clubs.
• Residents of Orbell Court (PR), Grubbins Lane (Sp)
• Those in need who are known in our parish:
• and also further afield for:
◦ Gordon Haynes; Christine; Deborah Ryley; Joan Male; Richard Irvine; Emma, Matt and Olivia; Sarah and Matt, Lauren, Richard Farrelly
• For the recently departed particularly:
◦ Florence Darkins
• Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time particularly:
◦ Jack Barraclough, Ethel Higgins, Hilda Rainbow, Brian Pechey, Stanley Baldwin.
Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
Tearfund, working in partnership with Christian agencies and churches worldwide to tackle the causes and effects of poverty.

"Living Faith Worldwide"
This is taking place in Reading on Saturday October 15th from 10am to 4pm at St John's and St Stephen's Church and St John's (CE) Primary School, Orts Road, Reading. (http://www.oxford.anglican.org/the-door/news/living-faith-worldwide-conference.html). This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet with Christians from different parts of the world and to share ideas about how to take our place in the world church. It will have things of interest both for those who already have lively connections and for those who are interested to explore what is possible.
