Prayer for the week
God of all power, your sovereign word comes to us in Christ. When your Church is in danger, make firm our trust; when your people falter, steady our faith. Show us in Jesus your power to save, that we may always acclaim him as Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
 in the week of the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we pray for peace in our world, remembering especially the people of Syria, suffering oppression and violence
 those suffering from famine and drought in the Horn of Africa:
 those involved in the world’s financial markets at this time of economic concern
 Travel Firms and for all who arrange holidays for others, seeking to bring joy to travellers.
 Princes Risborough Music Society, Shoestring Productions. Lacey Green Singers and Lacey Green Players.
 Residents of Milton Gardens (PR), Brimmers Road and Church lane (Lacey Green)
 Those in need who are known in our parish:
 and also further afield for:
◦ Gordon Haynes; Christine; Deborah Ryley; Joan Male; Richard Irvine; Emma, Matt and Olivia; Sarah and Matt
 For the recently departed particularly:
◦ Eve Britnell
 Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time particularly:
◦ John Parish, Michael Cotter, Jack Neelands, Rosemary Granville-Smith, Gladys Kemp, Ernie Adams, Ann Duncanson.
