Prayer for the week
God of undying life, by your mighty hand you raised up Jesus from the grave and appointed him judge of the living and the dead. Bestow upon those baptized into his death the power flowing from his resurrection, that we may proclaim near and far the pardon and peace you give us. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, first-born from the dead, who lives and reigns with you now and always in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Your prayers are asked in the coming week for:

  • The Holy Land: that the peoples of Palestine and Israel may come together in mutual trust and reconciliation.
  • Those places where there is warfare and violence, especially for Syria, Yemen and Ukraine
  • Our political leaders, at local and national level, especially those standing for election at this time: that they may always act with honesty and integrity, and truly work for the common good.
  • For car dealers, for the selling of new and second hand vehicles, for the quality of the goods they supply
  • Carers in the community – both paid and unpaid
  • Canterbury Close (MR) Bell Close (PR) Bell Crescent (L)
  • Those who are in need in our parish:
  • And also further afield for:
    • Joan Male, Bill Male, Alastair, Uncle Frank, Katy, Albert and Georgina Cole, Gillian Brady, Jane, Denis
  • The recently departed:
    • David Stevens, Dora Hobson
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time:
