A Call to Prayer
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are inviting every church in England to join a week of prayer this Pentecost, from 8-15 May. As part of this a small booklet ‘Nine Days of Prayers’ has been produced which will be given to everyone to take away to enable them to take part in this initiative. For further information please speak to James or visit http://thykingdom.co.uk/about

A Book to pay tribute to her Majesty’s 90th birthday
Some sample copies of this book are available to browse in the porch. The book is beautifully illustrated and gives a fascinating insight in to the Queen’s life and how her Christian Faith has inspired her work. If you would like a copy please write your name and the number of copies you would like on the sheet in the porch. The cost is £4 and is payable upon receipt of the book. James

Message from the next Bishop of Oxford:
'It is a great honour to be nominated as the next Bishop of Oxford.  A great trust has been committed to my charge, to lead this Diocese and to serve these communities. I have had a very good day meeting some of the Church House staff, talking to the press and very briefly visiting each of the four archdeaconries. Of course there was only time for a whistle stop tour but I’m very much looking forward to making longer visits to all corners of the diocese when I take up office later in the year.
It will of course be some months before I arrive and take up this new role, but the Diocese will be daily in my prayers and I look forward so much to working with you.' -Steven Croft, Bishop of Sheffield:

Stewardship Letter
Last year the parish accounts showed a deficit of about £30,000 and this year’s deficit is projected to be about £26,000. A personalised letter has been given/sent out to everyone in the congregation explaining all of this in further detail so that people can make an informed decision about their financial giving to St. Dunstan’s/St. Peter’s. It costs about £330 per day to run both churches. If you have not yet received a letter please let James know.
