Prayer of the Week
Risen Christ, for whom no door is locked, no heart is closed: open the doors of our compassion, that we may seek the good of others and walk the joyful road of sacrifice and peace, to the praise of God the Father. Amen

  • The victims of recent terrorist attacks in Brussels and Lahore
  • The future of the steel industry in Britain, for support and solutions to the current uncertainty
  • Olivia Mais at the start of her Christian journey through Baptism

  • Supermarkets for the diversity and choice they offer us, for goods they supply
  • Those considering or preparing for confirmation and those recently confirmed.

 Notices

Super Soup Day
We raised £197.10, which is a record! Some of this money could be spent on giving a family a goat £40, chickens £18, fruit and vegetable seeds £10, or on school dinners for 45 children £20. Massive thanks to the soup makers, the kitchen team and all of you who came along.

Stewardship Letter
Last year the parish accounts showed a deficit of about £30,000 and this year’s deficit is projected to be about £26,000. A personalised letter is now available for collection after the Sunday services explaining all of this in further detail so that people can make an informed decision about their financial giving to St. Dunstan’s/St. Peter’s. It costs about £330 per day to run both churches. If you don’t receive a letter please let James know.

2016 Owlswick Chapel Speaker Evenings

Each evening will be sociable, informative, and last about an hour. Contributions are asked of £5 per person per evening, payable on the door, to cover costs including wine and soft drinks. If you wish to reserve a seat, please contact Roz Wates on 01844 274417; email roz@rosalindwates.co.uk. Annual Meetings - Monday April 11th
With drinks from 7.30pm and the meetings starting at 8pm this is an important opportunity to review parish life, think about initiatives for the coming year and thank various people who have contributed enormously to the life of the parish. An ‘annual meeting pack’ is available on the website www.stdunstanschurch.com and also in an orange cardboard box near to the main entrance door for people to read beforehand. Please make every effort to attend and if you’re not able to make it please let Douglas Miller know on 01844 343206 douglas@pipersloft.co.uk. If you’re not able to come to the meeting it would be helpful to return the paper version of the ‘annual meeting pack’ beforehand to save on production costs. Thank you. James
