Prayer of the Week

Almighty God, who has built your Church upon the foundation of the Apostles such as Simon and Jude and the Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the head corner-stone: Grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their doctrine, that we may be made an holy temple acceptable unto thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Amen.

Your prayers are asked this week for:

  • Sufficient resources for hospitals and social care teams with the likelihood of increased demands for their services over the coming months.
  • All those affected by the prospect of unemployment or financial uncertainty with further job losses in the retail and other sectors of the economy being announced
  • The Anglican Church in the West Indies and closer to home for all members of the silent prayer and house groups
  • Youth clubs and youth groups.  Buckinghamshire County Council Youth Service.  Risborough Springs
  • Ker Maria Nursing Home (PR) Cherry Tree Nursing Home (B)
  • Those who are in need in our parish:
    • Joan Ballance, Pam Johnson, Pam Lidgley, Sue Caudery, Iris Hutchison and Veronica Parker
  • And also further afield for:
    • Alastair, Georgina Cole, Ginny Gibbs, Alex Chauhan, Cathy Owen, Gail, Suzy Cooper, Anna Ballard and Janet Drurie
  • The recently departed: Robin Jackson
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time:
    • Molly Clark, Ken Francis, Harry Goode, Dennis Parsons, Peggy Howes.

Dying Matters
Talking about death, dying and funerals raises big questions that it’s helpful to face at some point, but it can be hard to talk to family and friends. On Wednesday October 31st there is an opportunity to come along to a session from 10am to 12 noon at 17 Wellington Avenue, Princes Risborough (home of Revs. Steve and Rose Williams) to think, chat and articulate these questions in a relaxed environment. A series of question cards are used to encourage conversations and to listen to others’ perspectives and experiences in small groups. The sessions are open for people of all faiths, doubts and none. To book a place on this session please contact James
