Prayer for the week

Yours, O God, is the vineyard and its harvest, you’re the kingdom of justice and peace. You call your people to tend its growth. Bless the work entrusted to our hand, that we may offer you an abundance of just works, a rich harvest of peace. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.

Your prayers are asked this week for:
  • Food manufacturing for the convenience and choice that it gives us.
  • Those who work in agriculture
  • For an end to the violence in Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and other parts of the world
  • Revd Jennifer Locke as she prepares to be licensed as the next vicar of Bledlow, Saunderton and Horsenden
  • Residents of Askett, Askett Lane and Letterbox Lane (MR), Angood Close and Ash Road (PR)
  • Those in need who are known in our parish:
  • and also further afield for:
  • ◦ Gordon Haynes; Christine; Deborah Ryley; Joan Male; Richard Irvine; Emma, Matt and Olivia; Sarah and Matt; Lauren, Richard Farrelly, Sally Maddox, Peter Donald
    • For the recently departed:
    • ◦ Edith Newman
    • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time particularly:
    • ◦ Brian Frow, Carla Holland, Winifred Eggleton

Please remember the charities that St Dunstan's supports, in particular this week:
Rope (Relief for Oppressed People Everywhere), combating oppressive poverty across the world and striving to change the lives of the poor.
