Prayer for the Week
Sovereign God, we have no father but you, no teacher but Christ. Conform our lives to the faith we profess, preserve us from arrogance and pride, and teach us in Christ the greatness of humility and service. We make our prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen

Nothing’s too big, big, big for his power

Nothing's too little, little for His care
Nothing's too big, big, big for His power
Nothing's too iddly, widdly for His care
Nothing's too big, big, big for His power
Nothing's too incy, wincy for His care
Nothing's too big, big, big for His power
Nothing's too teeny, weeny for His care

He’s God of the big, God of the little
God of the stuff somewhere in the middle
The King of moving mountains
Loves you more than you will ever know
Oh, oh, oh

Nothing's too big, nothing's too small
Nothing's too much He cares for it all (x4)

Your prayers are asked in the coming week for:

At 9.00 am on Saturday November 8th and Saturday December 6th we are looking to clear the fallen leaves from the churchyard and to carry out some general tasks such as pruning trees and maintaining paths. "What are you waiting for?"
This Quiet Day offers an opportunity to stop in the middle of our Christmas busy-ness and prepare for the coming of Jesus. Using readings from Isaiah we discover how God fulfilled His purpose for us by sending His Son. Our reflections will be led by Rev. Rose Williams and we hope there will be opportunity to visit the award winning Chapel at Cuddesdon during the day.  The quiet day is open to all, and will be held at Ripon College Cuddesdon on Saturday 15th November, from 10.30am to 3.30pm. The cost is £10 per person and covers morning coffee and afternoon tea, please bring your own packed lunch. Where possible we will try to organise car sharing, but there is ample car-parking on site. To reserve your place, please phone Rose Williams on 274225.

The Friendship Group
We meet in the church hall on the third Wednesday of the month at 2.30 pm. The next meeting is Wednesday 19th November. All welcome!

Drop in
Bereavement can be an isolating and painful experience accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and despair. At St Mary’s Chapter House, Princes Risborough a new group provides a relaxed and informal place to meet, chat and come together to support one another and is for those of any faith or no faith at all. The group will meet on the first Monday of each month i.e. November 3rd and December 1st.
