Prayer for the week
In our hearts, O God, you have written a covenant of grace, sealed by the obedience of Jesus your Son. Raise us up with Christ, the grain fallen to earth that yields a harvest of everlasting life. Bring us to glorify your name by following faithfully where he has led. We ask this through Christ, our deliverance and hope, who lives and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, holy and mighty God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Your prayers are asked in the coming week for:

  • The people of Vanuatu, in the wake of the devastating storm in their country and
  • Those places where there is warfare and violence, especially for Syria and Ukraine, and for those killed or injured in Tunis
  • Those who are persecuted for their faith
  • The probation services and all those who help prisoners reintegrate into society
  • The mission, ministry and congregational lives of St Peter’s Chapel, Owlswick & St Michael’s Horsenden.
  • Wycombe Road (B & LG) Hillview (Sa)
  • Those who are in need in our parish:
  • And also further afield for:
    • Joan Male, Bill Male, Alastair, Uncle Frank, Katy, Albert and Georgina Cole, Gillian Brady

If you are not currently on the electoral roll (copy in the porch) please complete and return an electoral roll form by March 31st to the electoral roll officer: Mr Roger Timms, Nags Head House, Aylesbury Road, Monks Risborough,  HP27 0JT. Vacancies on the PCC and Deanery Synod

There will be two vacancies on the church council (PCC) and one on the Deanery Synod that need to be filled at the Annual Meetings on Monday April 27th. The PCC meets nine times a year on Monday evening and the Deanery Synod three times per year.

Save the dates!

I have managed to arrange discounted prices for a Pilgrims Tour of Westminster Abbey on Wednesday July 15th and a trip to Canterbury Cathedral on Wednesday August 5th. More details to follow in the April/May newsletter. James
