Prayer of the Week
O God, you cradle us at the beginning of life and embrace us at our journeys end, for you love us as your own. Bind our families together and deepen our faith, that, like the Holy Family of Nazareth, we may grow in wisdom, obedient to your word. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your Word made flesh, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, in the splendour of eternal light, God for ever and ever. Amen.

Your prayers are asked this week for:

  • Those killed or injured in the suicide bomb attack in Kabul and fire in New York
  • The safety of those travelling or walking about in wintry/icy conditions.
  • Refugees and migrants travelling from dangerous and difficult places and those who are homeless or sleeping rough in this country
  • The council of voluntary services, giving thanks for the millions of volunteers in our nation.
  • Police, Fire fighters, Paramedics, Ambulance Crew and other emergency and support workers
  • Those who are in need in our parish:

Colds, coughs…
Polite reminder – so that we all stay as healthy as possible, if you have a cold etc. please ask the priest to dip your wafer into the communion cup (known as intinction) to reduce the risk of spreading germs. Thank you. James

The South Door is feeling its age

The south door of the church (the internal door to the church) is 600 years old in parts and is beginning to feel its age. We have put some protective pads to help prevent damage to its hinges as it tends to swing open too freely and then bounce back off the wall. Please open the door carefully and try not to let it swing open unchecked. Thank you, James
