Trinity Sunday

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory”, says Isaiah.  We stand in the presence of the holy God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Come let us worship!

First Reading                Isaiah: 6:1-8
In the presence of the holy God, Isaiah faces his own sinfulness; having been cleansed and forgiven he is then sent out in God’s name. 

Gospel Reading             John 3: 1-17
Jesus tells Nicodemus that entry into the kingdom of God involves a new spiritual birth and a new life in him.

Prayer for the Week

Holy God, faithful and unchanging: enlarge our minds with the knowledge of your truth, and draw us more deeply into the mystery of your love, that we may truly worship you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.  Amen

Diamond Jubilee Cream Teas and ‘Songs of Praise’,
Today cream teas will be served from 4.30 and there will be a Songs of Praise’ service at 6 pm.  Offers of help for making serving cakes/scones gratefully received

Small group BIG QUESTIONS, Friday June 8th
Running for four weeks from Friday June 8th from 10 -11.30 am, everyone is welcome to come along to The Rectory at the top of Mill Lane to explore questions of faith and other aspects of Christianity. Topics will include ‘Why and how should I read the Bible’ and ‘who is the Holy Spirit’. To book a place please contact either James or Alan Barnes (01844) 273390 alanazzsoul@aol.com

June 8th ‘Stage Plus’
At 7.00pm the Stage Plus School of Performing Arts will be singing in St. Dunstan’s. Tickets are £5.00 for 12-65 year olds. Others are £2.50. There will be refreshments.

Bucks Open Studios “Art at St Dunstans” 15-24th June
Thank you for having us back for Bucks Open Studios once again.  This year Art at St Dunstan's includes some old favourites (paintings and drawings, Shaker boxes and silver jewellery), alongside new and exciting ceramics, mosaics and woodturning.  The show runs from the Launch evening on Friday 15th June until Sunday 24th June.  Full details are in the flyers at the back of the church.  We look forward to welcoming old friends as well as new visitors and extend our invitation to each and every one of you.  If you have family or friends with an interest in art, please bring them along too.  The cream teas offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoon by the ladies of the parish make a weekend visit particularly scrumptious!  Christine Bass – co-ordinator
