Prayer of the week
Father, righteous one, your beloved Son prayed that his disciples in every generation might be one as you and he are one. Look upon this assembly gathered in his name. Fulfill in us the prayer of Jesus and crown our celebration of this paschal season with your Spirit's gift of unity and love. Grant this through Jesus Christ, the first-born from the dead, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.

Your prayers are asked for:

  • All those who have a part to play in the management and smooth running of the NHS
  • Victims of the refugee camp bombing in Syria and other war-torn countries of the Middle East.
  • All migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, especially children separated from their loved ones.
  • The victims of the wildfires in Canada who have lost everything
  • Our Queen, for all who bear authority in her name as we acknowledge everything under the rule of Christ, our risen and ascending King
  • The Royal British Legion and those serving at the RAF base at Walters Ash
  • Greenwood and Grimms Meadow (Walters Ash) Hambye Close & Hets Orchard (LG)
  • Those who are in need in our parish:
  • And also further afield for:
    • Alastair, Katy, Georgina Cole, Robert, Dave Skinner,
  • The recently departed: Trevor Calvert
  • Those whose anniversary of death falls at this time:
    • Madeleine Cleaver, Enid Menzies, Pat Lucas, Norah Cockcroft

Stewardship Letter

Thank you very much for all the replies regarding financial giving to St. Dunstan’s/St. Peter’s. There have been generous one-off donations as well as significant increases in standing orders by over £4,000 per annum. The aspiration is to increase the giving by standing order by £22,000 so that the church does not continue to run at a deficit. If you have not yet given this matter your consideration, please can I encourage you to do so. James
